Thoughts on the new EBC RPX pads

Are you bleeding between events with the srf? If it’s a put it in a forget it for the season I’d consider it. I put the wilwood stuff in before VIR in March and then did a quick bleed after each event. Just enough to push out what was in the calipers. I did get a couple bubbles on the rear, I’m...

Thoughts on the new EBC RPX pads

Wilwood EXP600+ We aren’t allowed to run cooling ducts. I have the 13-14 front shields sitting in my office but I haven’t gotten approval to use them. It’s a bit of a pain with it thing a new class and the scca trying to control things. The scca did a phone interview with me since I’ve been...

Thoughts on the new EBC RPX pads

No traction control. My car is an 05 so I don’t believe they have any of the nannys the coyote cars do. From my understanding the 05-06 traction control is even pretty dumbed down. I’m going to talk to ebc and see if I can get a mu vs temp chart like they have for the RPX/RP1. My guess is I’m...

Thoughts on the new EBC RPX pads

I’m overall happy with the feel of the RPX/blue combo, it’s wild that the rears seem to wear that much faster though. At least they’re cheaper I guess. Pitt seemed to really wear on my rears, and I would say I had them pretty cooked. Everyone claims pittrace is notoriously hard on brakes, so...

Thoughts on the new EBC RPX pads

Instead of making a new thread about the EBCs I figured I’d tag on here. With club spec I’m running the oem rear rotors/calipers, and the brembo 4 piston gt500 fronts. I got a set of the ebc blue ndx’s for autox because I like them on the vettes. For track stuff I went to rpx’s on the front and...

Picking control arms within the club spec rules

What’s the difference with the gt500 upper? Just a different bushing? I couldn’t really find anything when I was searching. I ran across one of your posts about it. Do you think I should just press another stock axle side bushing in or use the steeda once since it’s allowed?

Picking control arms within the club spec rules

My car is on the original control arms front and rear. After pittrace I noticed my RF control arm bushing leaking, which surprised me as I didn’t realize they are hydraulic. For the front: are the ford racing gt500 arms worth doing over the stock ones? Rear: I read Billy Johnson’s thread on...

I’m jealous of your straight line speed. The 3v feels so anemic.

SCCA Club Spec program concept - to include S197 Mustangs

I see what you guys are saying and I’ll try to be more mindful of that going forward. I hold the wheel there because the spokes keep me from death gripping the wheel. My thumbs just kind of ride on top the spokes instead of wrapping behind. At least that’s my intention.

    S197 Mike’s Club Spec Mustang

Only have one event on them so it is hard to judge. They seem to wear well, no noticeable wear after this weekend. They’re supposed to be off pace of the mainstream 200tw by a bit. They’re 220tw. I will say they are scary in the rain, I had a set of Goodyear exhilarates I threw on for the wet on...
